Have you always dreamed of baking and decorating your own cakes and desserts like a professional? Then came join me for cake baking and decorating 5 day class in Rugby, Warwickshire This class is suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience of baking and cake decorating looking to extend their skills.
During this class you will learn:
- How to bake 3 different cakes, individual desserts and 4 tier wedding cake (cake is a combination of real cake and dummy cakes)
- How to level cakes
- Prepare fillings and fill the cakes and desserts
- Crumb coat and decorate the cakes
- How to assemble correctly a 2 tier cake
- How to assemble correctly 4 tier wedding cake (real cake and dummy cake)
- Fix common mistakes
- Finish the cakes and desserts off so that they look more professional
- How to cover the cake board
- At the end of the class each student will take home own wedding cake. Other cakes and desserts will be shared between students
- A book with recipes of the cakes and desserts will be provided so you can easily do the replica at home.
- Book also contains: 3 bonus recipes, information about the ingredients used in the recipes, how we register our cake business, how we calculate cake prices, how customers safely transport and store the cake
Theory part of the class includes:
- How to receive correctly customers’ orders
- How to make your business known on the market
- How to calculate the correct cake / dessert prices

- Chocolate stencil
- Chocolate flowers
- Chocolate transfer sheets
- Wafer paper decorations
- Icing sheets
- Mirror glaze
- Cracked effect on ready to roll icing
- Marble effect on ready to roll icing
- Working with icing images
- Hand made flower paste roses and different other flowers
- Working with natural flowers on cake

Please bring a notebook (lots of tips to learn the secrets of cake baking and decorating)
Lunch break is limited to half an hour, please bring a packed lunch with you. Water, soft drink, tea, coffee and snacks are provided.
